Portland Metro Saturday Weather: Showers expected

There could be a sprinkle or some spotty drizzle, but that's about it.

Mild autumn weather continues on Friday with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-upper 70s. It will also feel a little bit uncomfortable with the slowly rising dew point.

Air France said it is now working to re-route passengers to Los Angeles via the airline's connecting platforms in North America. It is one of the powerplant options available for the Airbus A380, along with the Rolls-Royce Trent 900.

A warm front will be heading northward today, so it will keep clouds around through the morning along with a spot shower. Saturday morning will start in the upper 40s & low 50s; average lows are around 42°! Highs will be in the 80s. The current ocean water temperature is around 70, so expect highs just shy of 70 on Thursday. Highs are expected to be near 80 for one final day! In return, rounds of heavy rain becomes likely later tonight while lasting through Monday morning. The storm will weaken rapidly but some of the remnant moisture could bring CT a much-needed soaking rain. Nate is emerging over warm water in the Southwestern Caribbean Sea right now, then it could strike the northeastern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula this evening. As Tropical Storm Nate makes a Gulf Coast landfall predawn, likely as a hurricane, it will trek north-northeast, bringing rain with it. As they say, timing is everything, and in this case, the weekend looks increasingly unsettled, and, especially Sunday and Monday, increasingly wet as a tropical system named Nate crosses the Southeast. Saturday, a warm front lifts back north and it will take much of the day to move north of the border. If that happens, we could have a lot of rain. Sunday's rain should be light and scattered, so a washout is now not expected. We really need some rain since it has been so dry lately, but we don't want too much all at once. Humid. High: Low 70s. Saturday night, an 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 49. High: mid-upper 70s.
